About AmigaFAQ

AmigaFAQ is a free, community-minded collection of answers about the Commodore Amiga.

What is this site?

AmigaFAQ gathers clear, practical answers to the questions people most often ask about the Amiga: choosing and caring for hardware, understanding the software, running Amiga programs today, and the history of the platform. It aims to be a friendly first stop for newcomers and returning owners alike.

Why does it look like Workbench?

The design is a tribute to AmigaOS 3.1 Workbench, with its grey screen, blue title bars and raised 3D gadgets. Underneath, the pages are kept deliberately simple, using plain HTML and a table layout, so they can be read on real Amiga web browsers such as AWeb and IBrowse as well as on modern computers and phones.

The site is available over plain HTTP as well as HTTPS, so older machines that cannot handle modern encryption can still reach it.

Can I help or suggest a correction?

Yes, please. Suggestions, corrections and new questions are welcome through the project's GitHub repository, where you can open an issue or propose a change.
